This time, I’m not writing about balloons, although it’s about deflation.
I’m not selling anything or chatting about entertaining. I’m talking about fundamentally shifting my mind set, getting my gears in action and doing something about my weight. I’ve been overweight for a while and with all the health talk about Covid-19 and the ‘rona virus, as some friends have said. I have been trying to lose weight during lockdown by myself. It didn’t work. I know what I have to do, but wasn’t doing it.
I have friends in the USA, other balloon entertainers, that have lost huge amounts of weight and I talk to them about their system. They mentioned sending me a box a month of replacement food – way too expensive when you add on shipping and customs duty. So with this in mind I was delighted to find out a friend I know has started coaching people with a one to one diet based on the Cambridge Weight Loss programme. I signed up.
There are different levels that you are assessed for and I am now having two replacement meals a day and a real food meal in the evening. I’m eating 1000 kcals per day. I’m now understanding portion control, calorie value and the need to drink lots of water. But actually it’s the support and weekly coaching sessions that are really beneficial to me. One to One – an apt name.
Its working – three weeks and I’ve lost one stone! I have more energy, clothes are falling off me so belts are needed, and people that know me are noticing that there is less of me. I’m more active, I’m doing exercises daily as I’m motivated to see the scale numbers descend.
