I’ve been reading in newpapers and online articles, as well as Mum’s online groups and hearing much talk about Halloween or indeed Christmas will be cancelled or not.

Everything has changed. Trick or Treating, Halloween parties and  Halloween events, will have to change. This is all, of course, due to the current pandemic, and the fear of not being able to do this safely. However even though we need to remain socially distanced this year doesn’t mean Halloween is cancelled. NOT AT ALL!  It means we need to be creative with safe Halloween ideas.

HALLOWEEN IS NOT CANCELLED!

I have some performer friends in the USA who are obsessed by Halloween, and have been coming up with amazing creative ideas but being in California is very different from the UK at the end of October!

What will I be offering? I will be creating Halloween themed balloon cups with pre-wrapped sweets inside and a Halloween balloon on top. Vampires, ghosts, witches, and a whole host more of appropriate silly but scary balloon characters – ideal for any age. In addition I will be performing an online Halloween show a weather proof, COVID safe, socially distanced, online gathering with friends celebration.

Danny the Idiot’s Halloween Spooktacular!” will mix balloons, magic, puppets and a lot of stupidity and a little scariness, but mainly stupidity! There will be two versions at this point. A public show where each household buys a ticket and watches the show like in a theatre but from the comfort and safety of their own home. The second is the Halloween online party with a group of friends and family where I will perform my show, perhaps judge a costume competition and it can be more interactive and bespoke for your group of friends that can be local, or indeed nationwide and international too!

Here are some Halloween ideas to get going with and even though it may not be the same as in previous years, there is still plenty of activities, dressing up and themed spookiness to enjoy and celebrate.
