It’s been a strange year for everyone, especially certain businesses like mine, entertaining. But I’m not going to go on about how much work I’ve lost, or anything like that. This blog is about supporting local businesses. As communities have come together to cope with lockdowns, helping neighbours and those in need it is time to continue to think locally and buy Christmas presents from local businesses or do local activities to those that are open and safe to go and visit.

Here are a few I recommend and suggest…

Let’s kick off with a great personal gift – Alison of Alison Wonderland  Photography creates amazing creative portraits of your child or children with whatever theme they want. Just take a look at her website here and see incredible images. http://www.alisonwonderland.photography/creative-portrait-sessions.html

Want to do something with the kids? Head over to Knockhatch Adventure Park https://knockhatch.com/ where most of the activities are outside. Booking is required and there is a wide range of things to do from looking at the amazing and growing collection of animals, to all manner of things for kids to run around and do. And also if you fancy trying skiing, but don’t want to travel – why not go to https://www.knockhatchskicentre.co.uk/ and have fun on the piste!

How about a Christmas meal at lunchtime or evening? https://www.bannatyne.co.uk/hotel/hastings Bannatynes in Hastings will open from 13th December so why not book a meal for the whole family and celebrate in style with no washing up afterwards! Bannatynes is a family friendly hotel and restaurant so make sure to book this popular venue!

And finally Danny the Elf will be performing “Danny the Elf’s Christmas Show” online, safe and virtually through Zoom.  https://dannytheidiot.com/services/virtual-shows/ for all the information on three shows to choose from, all very reasonably priced tickets at £10 + booking fee. There are limited spaces and the shows are only about 30 minutes long.

Thanks for reading and now with my new improved website up and running I will be posting regular blogs. So if this has been useful please like, share and follow. Thank you!
